San Francisco: Busing Around | Travel

What I love most about cities...public transportation! It's such an easy way to get around and takes away the stress from traffic. Walking or busing were our only form of transportation in San Francisco (parking was $3 for every 20 minutes!) It reminded me a lot of Europe. For whatever reason, I find buses and metros a really interesting place to shoot...you see all sorts of people. I was too shy to shoot strangers, but I got tons of shots of friends :P More pictures of other S.F. things to come.

  5. Glad to hear you enjoyed the city. Muni has its ups and downs (mostly downs), but it gets me where I need to be. I grew up using public transportation and can't imagine having to drive everywhere.
Great photos! I've been wishing for the Canon 24-70, but I just can't bring myself to drop $1,400 on one item. I'm seriously considering the Tamron 28-75 as my next lens now. Thanks!

  6. Seriously awesome tones on this posting Michelle :D Great light too, the dirty windows do a good job of diffusing it huh? haha. I am still kind of shy shooting in public with a big slr but having friends around definitely makes it easier!

I like how you captured obscure items around the house or on the street that we often pass by and not notice, or not think of as artistic...i think my point makes sense...not sure haha
